The City Harvest Project

Fact: Every $1 donated to City Harvest helps rescue and deliver fresh, healthy food for four New Yorkers for a day. That's a lot of bang for a buck and is why Chef Metal wants that dollar to go even further and make an even BIGGER bang!

As Chefs, we hate to see food waste and what we hate even more is knowing that there are hungry people out there that can't get the nutritious food they need, all the while knowing there is surplus food out there to be had everyday.  Recognizing this, we set out to find a charity partner who would help align our new business model with our core values of driving culinary relief projects to help the community.

With that, we are proud to announce that Chef Metal has partnered with City Harvest, the largest food rescue organization in New York City, to do our part in helping rescue and distribute fresh food to those struggling to put healthy meals on their tables. Amazingly, City Harvest will rescue 66 million pounds of food this year alone and deliver it, free of charge, to hundreds of food pantries, soup kitchens and other community partners across the five boroughs. Our partnership program with City Harvest is intended to help food-insecure New Yorkers gain access to the nutritious food they need. Whether through donation matching or revenue sharing, our donation dollars will help City Harvest increase their throughput capacity, strengthen the local food system and help build a path towards a food-secure future for all New Yorkers.

For a $1 donation, have the City Harvest logo hand hammered into your custom wristband design. To make your donation even more valuable, Chef Metal will match that donation and send $2 directly to City Harvest.  

Or...

Purchase one of our custom City Harvest inspired wristband designs and 100% of the net proceeds will be donated directly to City Harvest.
